The Sleep Audit is an independent publication covering sleep health, supplements, and the products marketed around both. We started this site because most "best sleep aid" content online is either thin, recycled, or quietly written by the brands themselves — and we thought readers deserved something that actually reads the label, checks the research, and says so when something doesn't hold up.
What We Do
We research individual ingredients, common supplement forms, and the claims made about them, using primary sources where they exist — government health agencies, peer-reviewed research, and clinical references — alongside real-world reports from forums and reviews. Where the evidence is mixed or a claim is overstated, we say so directly rather than smoothing it over.
How We Make Money
The Sleep Audit is reader-supported. Some articles contain affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you purchase through them, at no extra cost to you. This never determines which products we choose to cover or how we score them. Full details are in our Affiliate Disclosure.
What We're Not
We're not a medical practice, and nothing on this site is medical advice. We're not affiliated with the FDA, and no product discussed on this site has been evaluated by the FDA for the claims associated with it unless explicitly stated. Always talk to a healthcare provider before starting a new supplement.
